Taking place on Saturday the 16 June 2018, the Salomon Trail Marathon Wales will have full (26m/42km) and half (13m/21km) marathon race routes in the stunning trails and tracks of the world-renenowed Coed y Brenin forest in the Snowdonia National Park.
The 2018 marathon race will have the traditional 9am start time, with the half marathon starting at 10am. There will be a strict time limit of 1200 for the event and we will not be be repeating any windows for entry – when they are gone, they are gone.

Our annual steam gala has moved to tie in with an event on the Ffestiniog Railway.

Details: Welcome to the third Great Little Trains Model Railway exhibition in the town of Bala which will be held at Ysgol Y Berwyn Secondary School, Bala, LL23 7RU (on the A4212).
Located in three halls with easy access, free parking, full refreshments and a free vintage bus service linking the exhibition with the Bala Lake Railway. Additionally there is a vintage transport show taking place at the railway on Sunday and Monday.
Parking at Bala or Llanuwchllyn, ride the railway, with a vintage shuttle bus service serving the exhibition. Visit the Festival of Transport (vintage vehicles, tractors, etc) at the other (Llanuwchllyn) end of our line for two great family shows over the weekend. Of course the best way to get from one to the other is by our train. The railway will be operation our intensive Pink Timetable, using vintage Hunslet steam engines from the North Wales slate quarries.
All fund raised will go towards the new extension of the railway into Bala town.

3rd Llangollen Round Challenge
Challenge yourself to walk 35 miles over one or two days in the hill country around Llangollen and raise money for Cancer Research UK.
We can promise you a most enjoyable walk with some magnificent scenery. The route will be fully way marked and marshalled, with checkpoints offering light refreshments along the way and certificates and medals for all participants.
